Glass beads
No free iron
Glass bead blasting media are reusable and are mainly used in blast rooms and sandblasting cabinets. Glass beads for sandblasting contain no free iron to cause corrosion on non-ferrous surfaces, therefor blasting beads are very suitable to use on all types of metals. Glass bead blasting media don’t create an anchor profile, it is mainly used to clean a substrate without roughening it or to polish the surface.
- Glass bead blasting media are often used on stainless steel to:
- Create a matte and smooth finish on stainless steel
- Removal of welding and bending spots after production
- Have better resistance against oxidation
- Less adherence of filth to the substrate, important in food- and medical industry
